The CPU for this build was an obvious pick: the AMD Ryzen 5 2600.
At the top of its class, this CPU has the highest in range multiprocessing performance for awesome gaming performance at a fair price.
AMD’s Ryzen 2600 CPU runs titles new and old with ease, enabling elite level 1080p gaming in popular games like Fortnite, Call of Duty, or Apex Legends.
On top of top-notch gaming power, this AMD CPU has what it takes to handle any creative demands you may throw at it too.
The AMD Ryzen 5 2600 has 6 cores running a base clock of 3.4 GHz and a max boost up to 3.9GHz, making it the absolute best CPU pick in terms of its price-to-performance ratio.
With a 65-Watt Default TDP (Thermal Design Power), this CPU does not require an expensive cooling solution to ensure sustainably high clock speeds. We were sure to fine-tune the timing profile for AMD’s Wraith Stealth CPU cooler to give our Allied Tribe that extra edge.
Video card choice can make or break your gaming experience.
For this reason, we chose the Nvidia RTX 2060.
Powered by the Nvidia Turing™ architecture, this graphics card brings games to life with incredible performance and real-time ray tracing capabilities.
This card looks great, with the performance to match. 6GB of GDDR6 memory handles the intense gaming demands of most modern titles and a 1680MHz boost clock churns through frames like it gets a commission on them.
This card can get pretty toasty when gaming, but all of that is taken into consideration by the Allied design team and our expert testers. We perform rigorous GPU testing to ensure optimal airflow and sustainable temperatures under load to prevent thermal throttling in our gaming desktops.
Taking our CPU and GPU choices into account, the choice for this build was an AMD B450 chipset motherboard.
The B450M motherboard in this rig supports the second-gen Zen Architecture of our CPU to make sure that no frustrating incompatibility occurs. The board we picked also supports 4 DDR4 RAM slots for easy future upgrades.
This motherboard also supports four USB 2.0 and four USB 3.0 (not USB type C) ports in the back IO and offers headers for any ports (e.g. Wi Fi) from the top of the case.
The motherboard in this PC also performs well with overclocking so it is highly capable of maximizing both CPU and RAM speed given our configuration. Our testing team makes the most of every component and ensures optimal balance between clock speeds and heat.
We stuck 16Gb DDR4 3200Mhz RAM in this gaming PC build.
Typically, the minimum amount of recommended RAM (8Gb) for a gaming PC can work, but we’ve included 16Gb to guarantee the smoothest gaming possible.
Because AMD CPUs are sensitive to RAM speed, which greatly impacts gaming performance, it was critical to utilize high clocked RAM in this build. This is primarily why we included this 3200Mhz kit.
In case that 16Gb isn’t enough for you, the motherboard we chose has four RAM slots, allowing for easy upgrades to increase performance in productivity applications like Photoshop, Sony Vegas, or Blender.
We made sure the RAM is of the highest quality available right now at a great price. Given the vital importance of RAM for general computing tasks, we’re sure you can understand the decision not to cheap out on quality, quantity, or speed.
Storage is an area that most other gaming PC companies almost ignore.
In order to maximize performance, the majority of our budget for this build was allocated to gaming-critical components while setting aside just enough for ample SSD storage.
A big advantage of an Allied Gaming Prebuilt PC is that they are designed by experts.
We understand how important adequate solid state drive (SSD) storage has become over the years.
Given the incredible rise in the size of game files, this gaming PC build comes equipped with a 480 Gb SSD to ensure you won’t run out of space for your favorite games. SSD tech makes them over 30x faster than a traditional hard drive, enabling superfast OS and game loads without breaking the budget.
The most overlooked aspect of a gaming build tends to be the power supply.
We set out to change that with enough power to satisfy the demands imposed by our CPU and GPU combination, even under maximum load.
The 750W PSU in this rig was manufactured to the highest quality standards. The high-quality engineering of this PSU will eliminate any risk of your PC running out of juice in game.
Choosing the right case is important for many reasons; airflow, radiator support, aesthetic appeal, and hardware compatibility.
The Allied Stinger is a micro-ATX style case that includes three 120mm RGB fans in the front and a single 120mm fan as exhaust in the back.
The case is large enough to support liquid cooling radiator mounting up to 240mm, allowing considerable future component upgrades and expand-ability. The potential for expansion options makes this case the perfect choice as future upgrades can be made easily without running into spatial limitations.
The Stinger also a dedicated power supply (PSU) shroud to facilitate cable management and give you a super cool RGB case where sloppy wire management doesn’t take away from your experience.
There’s no such thing as too much RGB, so another great aspect of this case is the pre-configured RGB lighting with room for more.
The clean white paint job, tempered glass side panel, illuminated RGB front panel, and RGB fans make this Stinger-A build shine.
The gaming experience offered by Windows 10 is unmatched.
We initialize your SSD with Windows 10 Home in this build given its ease of use and compatibility with most major software packages.
The best part about this OS choice is that it’s absolutely free when using a special non-activated version given out by Microsoft. The functionality prior to activating is perfect for general use, gaming or productivity tasks, leaving the choice to activate in the future completely up to you.
Our in-house customer support team is highly trained and ready to resolve any issues you may have with your purchase.
Supporting our Allied Tribe on their gaming PC journey will always be a top priority at Allied. Our machines are built by gamers for gamers, and that means we understand the importance of tech support.
